Review
High up on a hillside overlooking Hat Kata, CC Bloom's is as
stylish as it is laid-back. This American-run gay-friendly,
boutique-type establishment is blessed with a fine location and
a cheerful staff with an eye for detail.
Three rows of rooms, festooned with orchids and painted in
French Indochina yellow, face a smallish pool, itself decorated
with a whimsical waterfall. Rooms in the topmost building also
have a view of the ocean. The whole layout is very conducive to
long days lounging about poolside, but there is a free shuttle
to and from the beach if you feel the need to get out. Once dusk
rolls around, if you would rather pass on the discos of Patong
and spend a quiet evening indoors, there are DVD players for use
on request as well as an amazing DVD library of art-house flicks
and classic movies. If you tire of movies, there is also
broadband Internet access in every room as well as a minibar
stocked with red and white wine. In short, this is the place to
come if you want real peace and relaxation.

but loafing poolside, then watch Harold and Maude on DVD
while getting deliciously buzzed on Yellow Tail Shiraz. |

CC Bloom's Hotel was simply the BEST stay I've ever had anywhere! From
the attentive, friendly staff, to the immaculately clean rooms, to the
relaxing beautiful pool, to the restaurant/bar overlooking the ocean, to
the kind and generous owner, my experience was more than a regular hotel
stay. It felt like being in a friendly family. This is one place you

CC's is the bomb. My 4-year-old daughter and I are five-timers, for a
month at a clip. Staff treats us like family. My daughter learned to
swim in the idyllic pool--since we spent so much time in it, downing
green chicken curry and tropical drinks--and when we can tear ourselves
away, the drivers run us to the beach or to town; we don't even need a
car. CC's seems to attract great people too; there's always someone to
