Introducing Our Valued Staff

To create a relaxed and carefree experience, CC Bloom's has fostered a strong relationship with its staff; many who have been with the hotel since it officially opened  in the fall of 2004. Valuing and caring about our staff/family has been a key component  in assuring that every guest leaves with a positive experience of their stay at CC Bloom's. 

We are proud to introduce Sompong Piewnun or "Pong" our valued staff of the month who works in our housekeeping department.

Pong hails from Issan and is part of the first waves of staff to work at C.C. Bloom’s as a housekeeper. Together with 3 of her other colleagues, her main responsibilities are to ensure that C.C. Bloom’s guest rooms are kept spick and span with the various amenities in functioning order before they check in. Her other responsibilities include maintaining the general cleanliness of the premises and creating beautiful flower arrangements that adds an exotic aura to C.C. Bloom’s Hotel. Pong is also an excellent cook and she used to whip up lip smacking, popular Thai fare for our guests before the hotel officially had a restaurant.

  
     
 

A very striking characteristic of Pong is her optimism and happy go lucky personality. Nothing really seems to get her upset and even if she does get upset, she’s over it and up and smiling in a flash. Her infectious laughter that is often heard around C.C. Bloom’s has since developed into some sort of a trademark for the hotel. Even with her limited knowledge of verbal English, Pong makes every effort to communicate with the hotel guests by greeting them with phrases like, “How are you today Sir?”, “See you tomorrow!”, whenever she sees them, accompanied with her megawatt smile. 

 

  
   

Another not often noticeable trait about Pong is her physical strength. She may be a woman but she sure is strong. Her job sometimes requires heavy manual work such as lifting heavy, bulky furniture or flower pots and she has been seen to be working together with her bigger and stronger male counterparts on these tasks and on occasions, even operating alone.

 
 

 

Pong has always been a fun loving and hardworking family member of C.C. Bloom’s hotel and her contributions have been instrumental to the success of the hotel. We hope that Pong will continue to be with CC’s for many years to come. Stay tuned as we continue to review “Our Valued Staff”.
