Gay History of CC Bloom’s Hotel

 

CC Bloom’s opened in 2005 as a gay owned and operated hotel targeting the gay marketplace.  Over the years CC Bloom’s has remained gay owned and under gay management.  Many of our employees are also gay and all are gay friendly.  We are happy to welcome our clientele from all over the world.  Over the years we have hosted a variety of gay oriented events including drag shows and pool parties. 

 

While the beaches here are fabulous, we felt the gay market had a large unmet need in terms of a quieter and more relaxing environment.   We are located a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of the beach areas, which we provide free shuttle services to.  We have established ourselves as an oasis from the noise, chaos, smells, street vendors and tourist crowds of some of the low-lying beach areas.

 

Our view is that people come to Phuket to relax as well as occasionally party and shop.  Please note in the Phuket marketplace we are competitively in terms of service versus large global hotel chains for a lot less money.  Admittedly these big hotel chains are often closer to a particular beach but we offer a free shuttle to 3 beaches.

We also provide Transportation Services throughout  the island of Phuket 

  • Airport transfer - after 7 am or before 11:00 pm - one way 1,000 baht

    • - up to 3 individuals

  • Airport transfer - after 11:00 pm - one way 1,400 baht

  • Patong - one way 300 baht

  • Private driver only 400 baht per hour

  • Half day tour - 1,500 baht

  • Full day tour - 2,800 baht

  • Other areas can be arranged, just ask our bartender/receptionist

Gay Oriented Services

 

We are a full service hotel that also provides some gay oriented specialty services.  We can provide BBQ pool parties with a DJ, drag shows with Go-go boys, or host your gay wedding or birthday party.  If you have another type of event you are interested in, let us know.  We have developed a broad range of very creative contacts over the years.  Importantly, you should note that we do not provide bathhouse type services.  You can find those services easily enough off premises. Just ask and we will provide you with more information on how to get there. 

 

We also provide gay concierge services.  While you can find many of the hotspots on the internet, we can help you zero in on value or help you arrange efficient transportation.  We provide Patong transportation service for 300 baht by car and 225 baht by motorbike (weather permitting).  Some free advice – typically taxis or tuk tuks from Patong to Kata is 400 baht - so bargain them down if not, they try to get more.

 

We have no joiner fees - a paying guest can have an overnight guest of theirs stay for free.  All we ask is that your guest registers at the front desk. While not necessarily a gay service, we can provide special meal arrangements via advance notice. 

Gay Outreach  

 

While we are a gay owned and operated hotel that heavily markets to the GLBT community, we do not exclusively market ourselves to the GLBT community.  Consequently our Rainbow Page is developed exclusively for the GLBT market and is found by individuals who are doing gay searches.  We do this to offer our guests a modicum of discretion by not over-emphasizing our gay marketing via our main website pages.  We have learned that for many of our guests, a level of discretion is required though we are what we are.

 

Ever since the tsunami, which devastated parts of Phuket (including many hotels), we have served the community at large.   Guests demonstrating any hostility to our GLBT community of guests would be asked to leave the premises immediately, though we are not aware of this ever happening.  

 

The rates available on the Rainbow Page are largely as a result of our goal to support our community and offer them the best possible nightly rates. By booking directly with us, we eliminate the middle man (online travel agencies) whose commissions are close to 30%. With these saving, we are able to pass them on to our community who has historically supported our marketing efforts by referrals and strong repeat business.  To that end, we hope you will join our Facebook Community and share some photos of your stay with our growing group of CC Bloom’s followers on Facebook.
